Default Mugen x12 review or coments

Have any of you tried out the Mugen x12 engine or know someone with it? I was just checking to see how it is doing to the other engines out there? Thanks

If your close to the WinterNats in FL, This is the time to go see one. I will bet that Robbie Collins and Mike Swaguar are runing them. Go check em out. Fort Myers somewhere. think.
Then let me know how they look.

As far as I know Robbie isnt racing....but anyways I was hoping to hear how these engines are doing. I currently own one but have not installed it and might end up selling it so I can get alittle cash back since I already run a Rody.

I don't think there is much doubt that the Rody would be more powerful but at the same time more expensive to maintain.

I seen Jorge(from FTSPEEDWAY) race his Mugen with the Mugen X-12 at Lakeland this past weekend and i must say that his car is stupid fast!!!!!!!!!!.It was keeping up with most of the 1/8th scales out there , I cannot believe that he was getting so much power from that motor and running at 202 degrees after a 5 min. qualifier.

Default Pricy little thing..

I was at my lhs today and saw the X-12 It was 4 buck's shy off $300.00 dollers!!! Damn is it that just crazy mark-up or is it that advanced? How much better could it be than the ns12?

Well, after very very close inspection of the X12 I can say it is longer stroke than the NS12. When I first compared the two it was by eye, when comparing the two with instruments the ports on the X12 and NS are in different positions and the crank pin is higher on the Mugen motor.

Thats what I thought. however the stroke difference is quite small relativly speaking. I have not personally measured one but I believe it is based on the RR. I believe the current spec's on the mugen site are misleading and at one time reflected accurate numbers, not what is listed today. for 3 bills I don't think I'll be measuring one anytime soon unless someone else owns it.
