Collari Engines

Where can I buy parts for Collari .12 engines?

Which ones?

The old Picco based or the new Sirio based?

For the Picco, you can get parts at Ofna.

markallen 01-31-2004 03:54 PM

I think it's Picco based because the crankshaft is smaller than my Sirio.

Ok, then you can use rod and P/S from the Ofna Picco .12's.

The 7 port Ofna sleeve is the same than the Collari 5 port, Ofna is just counting the two lubrication ports and Collari doesn't.

Here is a pic of a Ofna 7 port sleeve and a 3 port too

I looked up the review on the 7 port in rcnitro and the crankshaft looks the same too.So will the rod fit also?

stefan 01-31-2004 05:58 PM

Yes, the Collari XS 12 was nothing else than a Picco with an orange head, so everything fits.

One more thing. What would be a good starting point on the carb needles for breaking in a new P/S?

Hi

The real collari modified is Sirio made. The picco made engine is not collari modified. They just using collari name.

That's not correct.

In the past, Lamberto Collari was selling Picco based engines, now he's selling Rossi based engines (www.lcollari-innotech.com)

His father, Mauro Collari is selling modified Sirio engines....

Hi

Someone in Italy bought the company collari innotech so they have the right to use collari name. This is my business here in my country so I have a comunication between sirio owner and the new owner of innotech.
