Default carberator stuck on engine

I'm rebuilding my engine and can't seem to get the carberator off the engine.I've loosened the nut that hold the carb on.I used gaskett sealer when I put it togther.Any ideas would be greatly appricated ....thx

Did you loosen the nut and then "tap" the cross pin?

Yes the lock and nut are loose.I was thinking of heating the crankcase only and see if this works.

it happens when you locked the cross pin too hard and this will create flash which jam the carb and the crankcase.

i would try to tap the cross pin backward to see if you could restore the carb "neck" shape.

What motor is it?fastharry had that problem with his x12 RB's there is a long thread @ RB forum on it. Alot of fix tips on the matter as well www.rbproducts.com forum .12.

Thanks to all that answered.rbproducts web site was perfect.just a shot of WD-40 and a couple of turns and it was off.It was so stuck on you could hardly move it 1 or 2mm.
