woow great! ill do that with h1 bulb what temp i should expect after 2 min? i mean how hot should be my engine?

Hi.

I used this method last easter in 10 Celsius (50 F). It took 2:30 minute to heat it to 90 Celsius (194 F).

ok thanks, what after when it will have 90deg temp? what method use for brake in?

The only difference is that those engines have that much precise tolerances that they are almost race ready.

But regarding F1 engines, this is much more fun to run an engine:

Should I exchange the piston rod after the break in? or can I still use it? When do you exchange it?

I do run a 1st race with it and then I replace the rod, at that time it has runned 3 to 4 liters.

ive started already breaking in my engine using my engines manual and already been thru 2 tanks.

Can i stop that and use the heat cycle method or is it too late for me as it seems to be working for everyone ?

Hi.

Yes you can. When I got my HPI engine, it has had 1,2 liters through it, and it wasn't even closed to be fully broken-in.

So I startede the break-in all over using the heat cycle. Everything vent great and after 1,5 liter it was fully broken-in.

Hi.

There are no ideal temp on an engine. You'll have to get the right tune for your specific setup (fuel, glowplug, clutch, gearing, driving style, outdoor temp, body, amount of fuel in the tank etc. etc). Only after that you can make a temperature measurement and get a feeling where your engine approximate temperature should be.
