Is that mito modded by ABmods ???

Miami Racer 2 02-21-2019 08:16 PM

For the guys running the Mephisto .21 how would you compare it to the novarossi's from the past? Can you notice a major difference power low end, mid range, top end? Any input would be appreciated would like to know more about this engine from those currently using it. Thanks

Having a little trouble trying to figure out which con rod my engine takes. Have the Keep on .21 limted edition. Low profile black head ( does this even matter?) Perhaps a link, or a finger in the right direction would be helpful

All R-rated rods do fit

Ok.....I don't know if your competition uses modded motors but ,if they do, you will always have a very tough time catching them...Good luck....

Novarossi MITO WC versions with ceramic and steel bearing have different crankcases. How is it the effect on performance?

Hi B.S., if you mean the Mito 12 WCS vs the Mito 12 WC/A, I noticed that as well when comparing part numbers. The WCS uses the standard Size bearing and the WC/A uses the off-set "patented" bearing (like on the Keep-on; Virtus and Mito 12) which would explain the different case compared to WCS.
I'm not sure why that is.

I haven't heard of a WC limited.

The thing to look at though is the Mito WCS comes with ceramic bearings, rear bearing is standard size and the WC/A comes with steel bearings and rear bearing is the off-set patented one like on Keep-on and Vir-tus.

What is the best novarossi engine I can get for an inferno gt3? Money not being a factor. Also is pull start an option? I'm going to be using it on the street. No competition racing at all

Just purchased a brand new Mito-35WCA/17 motor. It comes set up for 25% nitro with 0.70mm of head shims and in the box is a separate head button for 16% nitro. I wish to use it with 16% nitro so my question is when I swap the head button over do I also need to remove 0.10 head shim as well to make 0.60mm? Or is the 16% head button an alternative to altering head shims? I ask because I cannot see any explanation within the included instruction sheet or on the Novarossi website and I haven't had a motor with interchangeable head buttons before.

Yes its an alternative to adding and removing shims, just replace the button with the same stock shimming and you are good to go this is what many have told me who run nova!!

Ok thank you for that. I haven't stripped the engine yet but curious as to what the differences are between the 25% & 16% head buttons? I'm guessing the depth of the combustion chamber "squish" in the head perhaps ?

ralphierace13 05-04-2019 04:56 AM

From my understanding you are correct on both
