Yes, we will have a special ROAR- IFMAR moded version. The factory modified D3R is EFRA legal, which leaves us a window to work over. We are currently doing testing on pilot engine.

Easy: Nitro shoes, where $15 now $8.70 - thats more then your 40% "I wont find"
Ive also seen bearings at 50% off - that to me means it is time to stock up, not run away...

Anyway these engines are great but I think you should get something else, something thats never been on special

Default Oil Leaks in the front bearing?

Just decided to get back to nitro touring and is really leaning towards getting the STS D3R from RC-Mushroom as they are on special. Just want to find out if the front motor bearing have any problems with oil leaks during running compared to the Italian mills.

Default D5R moded internals

Hey guys,

recently i brought brand new D5R internals including Piston, Liner, the new silicon crank, front bearing and all 3 (version 2) needles. The crank has had it's timing moded by ProjectZen.

So this will make it faster than standard D5R.

However, due to the closure of my local circuit and work commitments, i'm not going to be able to reap the performance benefits from these. I'm putting all my RC gear up for sale on ebay but wll be offering this here if anyone is interested.

Items BNIP, i payed a fair bit for them so my loss is your gain

I just replaced my front bearing in my D5 because it started leaking, engine is about 1 year old. Replacing beaing was a lot easier then I thought it would be though I cheat - got the bearing puller kit (& bearings) from Mushroom

This is what Dennis Richey has to say about the bearing issue, and he works with the RD Logics RRE engine made by STS for them.

I see a lot of talk about bearing leakage these days, so let me dispel a myth. They all leak slightly no matter what your running these days. The long intake timing and short pipes everyone has gone to get smoking performance causes this. The blow down and subsequent pressure rise in the crankcase causes a small amount of fuel to be pushed out the front, and if you run the engine to rich it will really leak. The other issue is that at the rpm the engines run, the seal can go away really fast. I used to keep replacement seals in my box and changed them as a maintenance Item on my Novas. Thatís just the way it is

Had several flameouts with my D3R few weekends ago, i put it down to it being worn out. Pulled the plug out today and I noticed that the coil was pushed in to the body of the plug. Also it was broken in one place.

I have never had this happen before looking for some answers why this may happen. It was not over compression, the standard shims are being used. Fuel is good quality 16% nitro content.
