Yes there seems to be smoke. It would misfire couple of times before stalling.Temp was on the high side despite richning hsn.Around 140C.Does the engine needs more shims?

Try 0.4mm shims with 25%. And cold plug due to the weather is hot now. It may stall due to ignition timing too late.

Too big compression. Install one more 0.1mm shim.

Thumbs up finally

dino:

finally get some good performance out of the d5 and the d3, after 3 weeks of bad luck. it was really bad in the morning, both engines would falme out without even completing one single lap. tried everything and nothing seems to work. finally i put a #5 plug in the engines and they run great. is that true that the d series engines like hotter plugs, or it is just mine ?

the modified d3 perform better than i expected (geoff can attest to that ), thank you for the mod tips. now let see how durable these engines are. the d5 still need some work, but i think it has everything to do with the pipe, got to find the right pipe for the d5. any suggestion ?

Default Thanks for the bearings

The D3 is the best bang for the buck. I'm hoping you guys make one for 1/8th scale on road.
