You are right !! I have been to lite-on a few times.

It is very big company, it has to be one of the few optical hardware manufacturing company in the world that's still doing very successfully (earn money :-) ) !!
not only do they OEM for Sony but TDK and many others as well. .

I just broke in my new D3.

I modified the crank and lapped the piston so that break in took about 1/2 tank at idle and another 1/2 tank at low speed.

Man that thing has power!!

I took 600 grit wet sand paper, wrapped it around the top of the piston and very carefully rotated the piston by the conrod until I had the desired fit.

Do not rotate the piston back and forth but slowly in one direction and don't apply too much pressure with the sandpaper.

Check often, when you toomk off to much it's hard to get it back on

Ok iv ran in my D5 and it took long but its done. And i also put a new rod in.

The Bottom end power of the D5........ WOW is all i can say. This engines got so much bottom end its not funny.

The top end power of the D5 .......... Shit is all i can say. Its got no top end it just hits full revs so quick and then just sits there reving to the shit house all the way up the straight.

So i through maybe i need to take out one of the head shims to make more "comp". Will this make it rev harder to make more top end?

My dads into Drag Racing like full on. His built cars for lots of the top drag driver here in Australia and he says to make Power make more "comp". But i dont know if this is going to make it rev harder.

Thanks
Also is there any mods i can do to the sleve or the crank to make it rev harder.
