Default d12ex + ntc3

hi people,
i've dropped a d12ex into my stock team kit ntc3 for parking lot bash.
using the kit rear exhaust single chamber pipe, running on 16% fuel & os rp6 plug.

at low speed the car has good acceleration, but as i pull full throttle on long straight it seems like the rpm is not revving up & sounds rich, never shifted to 2nd gear either.
i've set the HSN at 4 out & LSN at 4 out as well.

what possibly can go wrong ? is it because of the single chamber pipe ? should i get a dual chamber pipe ?

anyone tried using an os12tz carb on this engine ?

cheers

If its blowing alot of smoke and not making much RPMs, then it's too rich.

The pipe would really only determine where the power is and how much it can have too.

Are any of the STS team engines worth running at a big meet?
Was looking at the L12X3 IFMAR and also read about something called an 833 team engine
The outputs and stats seem to be right up there, but I've seen that before
I'm currently running an OS Speed .12XZ and was looking at the STS from a cost point of view to run my first big race meeting considering I'd buy 2 of whatever I get
If they are unreliable or just don't go well enough, I'd just spend the money on a couple of OS's again

Default L12X3 & AT Platinium 16% fuel

Hi

Just wondered if anyone had any tips to get this motor to run on the AT Racing Platinum 16% nitro racing fuel. I have just finished running it in and first time on the track it would do half a lap and then die.

I am using a Novarossi medium plug...

I noticed idle would increase in rpm and going richer on LSN didn't seem to make any difference. I previously used a cheaper fuel from my local hobby store in my picco, maybe I am not advanced tuner to use race fuel

Thanks in advance
Andrew
