Default d28 pro 5 port cracked crank

well last friday me and my bro were racing, it was probally the 5th race when my crank cracked in my sts d28 pro 5 port. i emailed sts and dino returned my email saying if i send the motor back he will rebuild it himself. mine came with all black crank he is gonna give me the proper polished one. sts rocks and so does dino and thier service. ill stand behind sts all the way . my next motors are the s28 and s21t.

Just wondering what pipes you guy's use with your STS motors? I have a .30 and a .12 and at the moment i'm running VXR X-1 for the .12 and the VXR fire-T for the .30 and they seem to go pretty good but i havn't compared them with anything else so i wouldn't know any better, and as you know as a racer pretty good isn't good enough

Default Crank

Doubt if it will fit, however, i have .21 STS cranks that retail for $50.00. Since you're on this site and i'm closing down my STS ship i'll give it to you for cost, 41.85 + $4.00 shipping and handling. If interested reply to [email protected]. Visit my site www.projectzen.net

ive tried a jp1, jp3, ofna hyper for 21, stock xtm for 24.7 , and the ofna pipe for speed with the huge hole for the stinger its hole diamiter is bigger than usual. ive tried these pipes on the d28 5 port and i think the jp1 and the xtm 24.7 pipe work best for me. the next pipes i want to try are the jp2, and jp4. and the sts pipes.

I'm not to sure about your question mate but do "GO ENGINES" make STS because a little label fell off my .12 the other day and i swear i could make out the word "GO"

Also i was just given a pipe (#T-2060SC WN) made by O.S. SPEED and i was wondering if it would go any good with an STS .30. At the moment i'm running a VXR FIRE-T and it seems to be very, very loud so i was hoping this might tame it down just a bit

Hi this is my STS D3R crankshaft after 1 galoon of use.
With this problem i'm very insatisfied with STS

The engine was bought on 05/11/2007 in rc-mart, Order number: 195098
1 x STS (#1023) Dragon 3RB Engine (1023) = USD$135.90

The engine was properly broken in, the fuel is good, the centax was ok, It is possible to be failure of the steel.

With the broken crankshaft the p+s died too...
I'l be very satisfied if the manufacturer provide a help.

Dino Please let me know if you can help me.

yes
I can comfirm any .21 GO crank will go onto the STS engines

my friend has a red headed sts .21 T and busted the crank at
the lubricating hole in front of the main bearing after a 1.5 gallon orso
the crank was just freewheeling in the case...

so he put in ,just like that, a 7 transfers go crank
and now the sts has already 2 gallon of real racing
and definetely runs even better than with the stst crank.....

Default cracked crank

use this email [email protected].my crank cracked rite under the crank pin in my 28, i emailed them and dino replied . so i sent my engine to him. he rebuilt it with a new style crank. so he said, and sent me a extra crank also. i have the sts d28 5port . the old crank was black with one turbo scoop. the new cranks he sent me have two turbo scoops like yours only my cranks arent all black. some parts are polished and some are black. and my induction port looks bigger.

hey whats up guys. I have .21B in my Losi 8ight.

Just started its second gallong the past 2 weeks and its defintly picking up speed.

Been getting alot of differant opinions on needle settings.

I'm running O'donnel 30% , I believe a medium glow plug that i bought off stsmicroengines.com a long time ago.

However I have 0 head shims in there. I know I should but I heard a sponsored STS driver saying that I didnt need the shims after break in.

Last night @ Pegasus in CA , I put my needles to factory settings and it seemed very rich at high speeds. lean'd it about 1/2 turn but the power band does not seem smooth.

Any tips for me ? thanks!
