I'm having some troubles with running the white lightning in hawaii. I put 2 copper shims and another silver shim including the one already there. But my problem is when I get on the throttle and go ful throttle the engine stutters and sounds like its to lean. I'm gonna reset it back to stock settings and try from there.

hum, I was actually thinking you might have needed to advance the ignition point a little with a hotter plug, but I wasnt sure.
guess thats what you needed to do then

Having trouble with my motor. It seems to be leaning it self out as I pull back the throttle. I'm thinking air leak. Gonna seal everything off tonight.

Got some newbie questions for you guys.
I just bought a D5R with the STS oulaw pipe

What fuel would you recomend?
What plug?
Can the 3 port sleeve piston be used or can only it only be the 5 port, spose the crank is different as well.

BTW it's in a V-One RR

At this point it's already out of the threads. Take a pair of plier and pull it out.

Most fuels are fine 20% to 30% nitro
The race fuels have only have 10% oil... regular fuels have 12%oil.. Use the 12% and maybe even add some castors..
Myself I use a home brew of 30%nitro 12% synthethic and 4% castors
I have put a non-turbo head button on mine...As for plug I am using a mccoy #8 as of now because that is about all I can find right now..I prefer a nova rossi #7 (6,7,8 nova rossi seem to work well)
Some one else will have to recomend a turbo plug????
The sleeve should fit fine(quote me if I wrong on that)
The crank is different but only on inside diameter. And that is the only difference I think...Everything 3port should interchange..

After you get it broke in!!! these engines dont like to be loaded up... they like to stay on the pipe.
it will run hot if not geared right.. Good luck
