Default RB Concept Engines Thread

Like the nitro car thread, i think we should catagorize engines for easier reference. Let's make this thread a discussion place for all the RB engines. CheerS

I was going to do a similar thing but figured it might be better if we make a .12 .15 & a .21 thread which is more general and much easier.

What does Dino think?

i think to put them together would be fine as if anyone is enquiring an engine he will keep track on the replies.....if we further catagorize the engine sizes then we will be facing the same problem - alot of "3 minutes heat" thread, 3minutes heat in the sense that only being discussed for a period and after that missing in sight. Because i believe by the time, we will have Nova thread, Sirio thread (already have?), OS thread etc etc, if each is spread to smaller thread, it'll be rather messy too.... just my 2 cents...

I think BRAND Thread maybe a good idea. In fact, most of those readers don't need any answer. They just need others to give him more faith.

Can someone tell if there is a big diffrence between the X12 and the V12 engines. There is a guy at our track that got a V12 and I wanna know if my X12T will be still competitive. Actually he drives a R40 and it's heavier than my MTX3 so it won't be a very obvious power diffrence, right?

if you are talking in stock form, the x12 needs to scream harder with higher running temp. harder clutch setting and such.

that's about the right temp for novarossi based engine. the engine performance is also depending on clutch setting and engine configuration (shims, plugs)

I used to have an X12 and i was pleased with its performance.

I think I can do some work on my engine but because I'm no engine guru I might just work on the carb. I saw that people are shaping it as a funnel. Does it really help performance??? Also I will widen my stinger hole. I don't want to be behind

I have a Murnan X12 which is the fastest 3 port I have ever seen.

Even B.Baker asked me what Monster I had in my car
