Easy on your pocket, easy to break in, no doubt it has tons of power, best bang for your buck!

ok will it be faster than the old mugen nova motor i have ?

Serpent-Dan 03-05-2009 09:14 PM

Yes it will be faster that mugen nova was fast in its day that thing is about 10yrs old. The Red Dot has more work and a modified crank and engines have come along way since that engine. You won't be disappointed with the Dot.

Funny thing I still have a mugen nova that was never even used. But still go with the newer engine easy to get parts.

Engine

I have both. If you have a carb off of an os tz the crf is a great engine. I put a carb off a 18 tz on mine and it tunes easy and it is fast . It may not be legal if you get checked but the .12 tz carb would work too. The red dot is fast also but the carb likes to be rich on the bottom . I would say either one will win races if the car and driver are up to it.

+1 on the Red Dot. I have the Tuned version. I've broken in Novas, Wasps, OS's, Pixys(omg nightmare)It's by far the easiest motor to break in.

thanks guys gonna go with the picco tuned ver. was lucky enough to have someone on here offer me a new one for a good price
