running with out pull start?

ok i broke my pull start but can borrow a pull start so im curious if i remove the pull start and the little wheel inside that uses a pin to go round with the crank then that shaft is what the one way bearing grips. can i remove that shaft from inside the motor and just plug the hole and run the engine? or does increasing the crank case volume affect the mixture and thus the motor wont run well?
pretty much i wanna know i i can run a plugged up pull start back plate but with no pull start system, assuming the shaft hole is plugged?
cheers guys

Broken Pull Start

You don't say what engine you have, however, on the pull start engines i sell you have to change the backplate if you want to run without the pull start. Engine then becomes a bump start. I also have roto start conversion kits for the STS 28 monster engine that will probably work with any 28 engine. I'm not sure but the local hobby shop has been buying from me and they don't carry the STS engines so i guess it works. If interested drop me an email at [email protected].
