Default 220mm GPR for fun - Which engine

Hey all,

I have a fully converted NT1, saved a lot of grams and want to race for fun.

So, I am looking for a fast fun engine without going to pay a million for it.

Seems I can get a OS 12 TZ 5 port for 200$ and JL Red dot evo for 179, LRP Z12R spec 4 for 119€

Which one should I use, which is the most reliable and which pipes will give best performance?

I do not intend to go INS Box nor EFRA pipe if something else gives me more fun.

Track is fairly small with one straight

Cheers and happy holidays

i think OS 18TZ will do the trick... it should have huge bottom power that not many .12 engines have. good price also, like 180$

I have the 220mm conversion kit for the V-1RRRR with a .18 OS TZ motor in it and it is veryyyyy fast. That Picco .15 motor looks like a good choice too.

Get the JLR... Dont think it twice. OS TZ's conrods in my experience are worse than even Picco based engines...

The OS 18 TZ is less than $150.00.

I used to drive 1:8 Serpent, but engine costs were waaaaaaaaaay to high.

I might go for 18TZ, Samuel, do you know which pipe would go with this one?

The best pipe for it, is the OS 1040SC (L52) or if you can, the L60.

Thanks, will you get them in the shop?

L60 is the diameter of the stinger right?

Yes, but the only pipe available is the 1050 L52, the 1050 L60 is not available, at least not in the US.
