Default Changing a .12 5 port to a 3 port

I i have gotten a very cheap brand new novarossi NRE NL12S5. Thats is a .12 5 port engine. I need a 3 port. What can i do to this motor to make it a 3 port. Is it as simple as changing the piston and sleave

Yep. put a three port P/S in it and you are good to go.

nice now i dont feel like i wasted my money going with a 5 port. It was such a good deal i couldn't pass it up

You can also fix the 2 side ports to 1 big port, do it on both sides of the sleeve and you get a 3 port engine.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. Did that to one of the old original 5 port Sirio's. It was a missile in its day.

Really how do you go about doing that. Is there a place i can find instructions?

Just use a multi tool (dremel) to grind away the bridge between the 2 ports.

Smoothen the left over edges and you are ready.
