Default Novarossi C1 or C2 rod question

Is there a difference in the C1 and C2 rod for the Novarossi .21 onroad engines? This is for a Cordoba 35plus21. It comes with the C2 and all I can seem to find is a C1.

So the C1 is the older rod? And the C2 replaced it?

That makes no sense. The R series rods are sequential. R3 being an old rod, R7 being the current one.

Yes, The C2 is the latest Rod, it came with the LC 35 Plus 21 "CORDOBA" engine in year 2007, the C1 is the first version rod for the LC engines, it came with the original Limited edition LC 35 Plus 21 in year 2006.

Also for your info, all C labled Rods are Labled C for Collari, this how you know which rod is for which engine, in which saying this, the Rod in the Standard Blue Head 35plus 21 will fit in the cordoba also, i believ thats a R7 from memory, but Yes, the C2 is the Latest Rod and a much stronger rod, To strong which i guess thats the Novarossi Quality for you.

Actually the Con Rod in the Standard Blue Head 35 plus 21 (R7) will not fit the LC 35 plus 21 "Cordoba" engine, the crankshaft pin in both the LC and the "Cordoba" engine is smaller in diameter than the regular 35 plus 21 "BLUE" head engine, the "R7" replaces all the old "R" series rods, therefore only the "C" series rods will fit the LC engines.

Slight detail..... R&B also uses a C-rod but it is for a larger crankpin.....

I just called the number on the website at novarossi usa which is actually fusion motorsports and they told me the same thing again that the 07010 is the new rod for the motor.I just got finished breaking in my motor and I put the the 07010 rod in it.I was planning on racing my motor this weekend and I hope I don't have a outdated rod in it which has been replaced by a heavier rod for a reason.

I found the parts diagram for the 35plus21lc and it shows the 07010 pn for that motor so it appears I was misinformed and now I have a old rod in my motor which is weaker but lighter.I just talked to them again and the guy said he just talked to jim and said that he was incorrect. He said that the new rod is more expensive and that they didn't see any reason for having both rods instock and that they were trying to save us some bucks. My reply was that I ordered these 07010 rods because he told me these were the new updated rods.I also explained to him that I would like to return them to him because if novarossi made a more expensive rod for the motor that they did it for a good reason knowing that it would be harder to sell a more expensive rod for the motor. He said that he wouldn't take the rod that is out of it's package but for me to send the other two back to him and he would "see what he could do".
