Hey gianni I 've been using the max sl3 with the new pipe 2649 @ kraceway and homestead it has a very high top end. Fast

TomB 04-13-2009 07:13 AM

what other pipes besides the nova 2630 with a long or medium header are good with the XXL3 for producing high torque?

Max just released his

MAX XXL3 WC TEXAS EDITION (balanced)

Up to now we have only external view from which I can see that Massimo choose a brass made intake fuel-pipe (VS the composite used on the previous engine)

the max power 2649 is 10mm longer than the novarossi 2630 and 2652 so it will not fit on the xray nt1,kyosho v-one rrr, serpent 720 or mugen mtx4r without cutting into the left front tire, use the novarossi 2652.

if anyones interested i have a new maxpower 2649 that i can not use becuase it wont fit any of my cars mentioned above.

The Max 2649 fits on the XRAY NT 1 and MTX 4 R without modification, that is where it is designed for, it is true that modification is needed in order for it to fit the Serpent and Kyosho cars.

Can anyone tell me the best fuel and glow plugs for the xxl3..? And does anyone have any tuning tips...mine seems to be real sensitive .. Seems like I have to tune after every five laps or so...thanks

I told you about the fundamental problem with engines in the TC3 in your other thread.

right from max power..Max Power in Italy have released their new touring car pipe (EFRA 2664), which now fits perfectly into the Serpent 733. The EFRA 2649 exhaust, which had a long style shape, had a excellent result at the 2009 European Championships, but was too long to fit into the new car from Serpent due to its more forward mounted engine and so the new exhaust solves this issue and yet retains the same characteristics as the longer version.

new short maxpower pipe above..http://www.redrc.net/wp-content/uplo...2664Pipe-2.jpg
original long 2649 pipe below..

based on the cars i own and tried this pipeset on..kyosho v-rone rrr, xray nt1,mugen mtx4r,serpent 710,the 2649 pipeset is toooo long and will rub the the left front wheel no matter how you jimmy the exhaust mount wire,it is 10mm longer than the novarossi 2630,2652 and 2660.
try it and you will see, this issue is also posted on the xray forum.
