whats the ideal temp for this engine?? am always running around 230, am not in the LEAN zone but i dont like going over 245? i also heared that some people run it around 280 without no problems!!! what do you guys think?

cheers

hi guys, i have a Max .12 MF P3 (.12MAXS 3MF), how does this compare with the XXL3, other than just being an older engine by max.

NO, just like the XL3 doesn't share the same rod as the XXL3

it will run like a raped ape at 280, just make sure you have smoke. and tune for performance, not temp. depending on Baro, temp, humidity, alt, it will have totally different performance. If it starts flaming out at the end of the straight while still at full throttle its to lean on the top. whatever your tune, read the plug, have smoke, and feel. if it feels slow, its either too lean or to rich. fix it. Learning to read plugs goes a long way.

cheers

XL3 and the XXL3 uses the same connecting rod, which is the Nova Rossi 7601.
