Mega Evo 4?

I have a blown Mega Evo 4 which I think is a NovaRossi engine. Does anyone know where I can get a piston rod sleeve for it. Theres no nimbers stamped on it except for SX21 and I cant find anything on the we b any help would be appreciated

Every piston/sleeve cost about $300.00, which you can buy a very good engine for that same amount, if I were you, I won't even rebuild that engine, for 1 you can't find parts for it, and 2, it's an older design engine which it can't hang with the new generation of engines.

well with my skill level and the guys I drive with it was doing a good job until that fatefull day

A Nova R1WC P/S should fit. Since they still make the R1 you should be able to find it.

Don't listen to the other guy. That motor might not win the nats but it is more than capable of winning most any club race. Parts are still available, you just have to figure out which parts work.

Any Nova rod should fit except the one for the 359 and Cordoba motors.

Just make sure the crank is still good before putting any more money in it. If the crank is shot too, get a new motor.

piston

Richie at www.brooklynhobbies.com has that piston and sleeve for that motor. Look them up on the internet and give him a call.

I wouldn't rebuild it. I've been down that road with a blown 321P and it just not worth it. The bearings were damaged and the crank pin was out of round. After spending 350 buck or more I still ended up with a practice motor/paper weight. For what you are going to spend you can buy a new engine. I wouldn't do it.

40 bucks for new ceramic bearings.

That's 250 for a brand new Nova motor. Good deal AS LONG AS THE CRANK IS GOOD.

Again, if the crank is shot the other guys are right and you need a new motor.

How much hard racing has this motor had on it?

Indeed, it is better to get a new one. The JP P7L is almost the same engine and very affordable.

If you want to make a spare engine of this EVO4 I advise uou the get a P/S set from a Novarossi Basic engine. I did it with an EVO5 and it runs great, not the fastest but ideal to use it in the wet, with training and as spare.
