Default new 2008 GRP GT01-21ON engine

gidday how many head shim should a GRP GT01-21ON engine have
also what would happen to a .21 engine if there were no shim under the head button
i ask these questions as i was dropped a glow plug element out onto the piston/sleeve a stuffed it up after one lap after breakin.then when i rebuilt it i noticed there were no shims under the head.so i put .2 mm shims i had leaft from the kit and after the breakin 1 lap and done another piston/sleeve.. i had kill a new plug during breakin but put i down to old plugs.
ok before you ask breaking was 2 2ltrs on the first engine and 1.6 ltrs on the second heat cycle in the car on track .
the hottest the first engine got was 101 c
the second never got to 95 c
fuel was boost and a c7 ninja plug cold
could not enough shims cause the predeternation to drop the glow plug element.. ok we have three of these engine at our club got all on the same day mine always sounded tinnie and diffrent to the others
any advice much appreciated
sorry for the novel:
p.s also my needle setting are richer than the other 2 engines
