The best pipe for this motor is the 2013, hands down.

But this pipe also now is not IFMAR approved anymore....

I also gave myself the EVO3 EDO modified as a present, which I ran the Dutch EFRA GP with, and it goes really well on the Novarossi 2052 pipe with medium header.
I also swapped between the 2052 and 2015, and couldn't really feel any difference, so both pipes are very similar in performance, only the 2015 is a bit longer...

There is no difference to feel between those two, the difference is the consumption. The 2052 will go quite fast but think about it that you have to refeul before the 5 min point. The 2015 has this same problem.

So is there a difference in fuel consumption, or not?
A bit confusing in your post Pieter...
To me the difference is very small, because after swapping the pipes, I didn't have to re-adjust the engine....

We dont have to worry about IFMAR in the USA, and most of us will never see an international race.

The 2052 has a small higher feul consumption than the 2015, both do not reach the 5 minutes qualification. The 2052 lasted 4 minutes on MACH, the 2015 4:15. The 2033 lasted 5:15.

A fast fuelstop demands +6 sec, this means that you will have to gain those 5 sec's during the race. Thats +/- 0,3 sec per lap on 20 laps.

Default Just purchased

I just purchased one of these engines and it should be here this week. I have the IDM version and expect to be just as happy with this engine. I am running the 2033 pipe and have a 2052 to try. Just looking to get a little more bottom end. I still can adjust more on the clutch, but was wondering which pipe will help out also.

You will see a little more Bottom end with the 2033 pipeset the 2052 will give you a little more Mid and Top then the 2033, that was why I said use a medium length manifold with it so you get some bottom end back. But there is a marginal difference. As I said on the other thread that alot of folks are running the 2013 with good results as well. Like Nitrodude stated above they do like that pipeset.

If anyone is interested in a IDM .21 I have 1 in primo condition for sale $300 shipped with a new spare rod to go with it motor only has 15 minutes of track time after break in. I have a locall driver interested in it but need to move it quickly
I tested it with the 2013 & a 2068 made by capricornrc & both pipes were more to my liking

Default 2013 over 2033

Nitrodude, what performance advantages did you see with the 2013 over the 2033?
