Default Your opinion needed for two .12 engines...

I am getting a new engine and I am looking at the OS 12TZ 5 Port and the Kawahara (Novarossi) NS12-TS1 Zac. There is no port restriction where I race and i am also a relative noob. both engine would cost the same from where I am from.

so its down to the os's brute hp/torque vs the top end and nova reliability of the ns12-ts1... i also heard the tuned ns12-ts1 has a smoother response and hence might be easier to control for a beginner... both engines will be paired with a skyline v12 plus pipe.

If you could get either, which one would you get? is the extra 0.12hp of the os noticeable?

I'll take the novarossi. Os is good but novarossi is better.
but i prefer Picco IDM, brute torque and top end , best of both worlds

If your a beginner... Go with the OS TZ... I'd never recommend a beginner an engine with a plastic carb. Best thing of the OS is that parts for replacement are dirt cheap. And that Novas and OS's plugs are much more cheaper than Piccos.

Go with the Nova or an RB (Nova based) they have more power than most or all OS engines IMO and and alot of other's as well.

I have ran both engine in my mtx4. The nova will be easier to tune when compared to the o.s. However depending on your hobby stores the o.s will have more parts on call and any hobby store carries them. So if your starting I would say go O.S. Take your time breaking it in and it will last and last.
