i think the carby needles have been changed in the kyosho version. I've seen one at my local track and it went very well. it isn't hard to tune like the old silver head version. I'll be using one soon, can't wait.

does no one pay attention these days? Orion moved in with Kyosho.

CRF engines are made by Toki in Japan. So let that be a lesson for all of ya

Fantom was braggin that they have crf technology too. But lately i have seen nothing about it.

are you sure? the kyosho version i saw was alot easier to tune, and not as eratic, i think they may have chaged a few needles in the carby. the rest is probably the same, no doubt.

What a difference a year makes.

There have been a lot of improvements made to the engine so it runs much better than it did when it first came out. I bought version 1.0 and have been buying all the updates. It's all good.

exactly it isn't the same engine. and alot of the engines on the market may actually be the ones previous to all the changes, so hence they are for all intensive purposes the old "inferior" design. the kyosho one, being a newly branded crf, has all the good parts/additions. or revisions on it. it is the latest version, ie the best version.

unless you can find a shop of course that stocks the very latest, team orion silver head crf. Unless you can see the product code you have no way of knowing, so a good way of knowing that you have the latest crf, is to just get the kyosho one.

simple. The CRF therfore in simple terms, is a different engine. Many people remember the old CRF as having issues, this is a easy way to dispel the concerns, and make people at ease with the purchase of a new technology motor.

So, what you are saying is that they threw an engine on the market that ran like crap. They let the customers do the field testing and then they sold all of you expensive parts to get that engine to a point where it should have been from the get go.

So, tell me again, why should I buy this engine, which in the end is more expensive than proven Novarossi quality?
