Has anyone had any experiences with these yet? They seem Collari based. Is Collari engines still in business, or only distributed thru WERKS? Don't see a lot of coverage on the brand.
Is the on-road ABC or AAC?

It is a Sirio engine and they used the Collari crankcase because Sirio has the molds it and there is no Collari production anymore.

I dug up some more info on RedRC, They are AAC.
The case didn't look like the Sirio EVO's.
Posting some pics, Werks web site didn't seem to have much info on the motors, or I could find info on thier site.

The on-road engine line is a new project for us that we have been developing over the last year. After being intensively involved in off-road for the last couple of years it's actually quite nice as we are now coming back to our roots! As mentioned we have been quietly doing a lot of testing and development over the last 12 months or so on our on-road engine line. It is basically composed of 2 engine at this time both full blown competition engines. The TL12R3 which is a 3 port, roar legal .12 engine for use in sedans. The engine is ABC construction, with a turb head button and features all of the trick "race features" including tear drops on the transfer ports, chamfered sleeve bottom, fluted + lightened & epoxy stuffed crank shaft etc. etc. Kysoho/Werks team driver Jimmy Deprex used a pre-production versions to take 5th at the US Open Fuel Sedan Championship & a production version to qualify 5th and take 10th at the 1/10th ROAR Sedan Nats. Walter Diaz also recently used a production version to win the Toys For Tots race in LA.

Roelof, sorry but your statement is not correct. There is not a single part used off of the old Collari engines.


The second engine is our TL21R7 on-road engine (Of which there are pictures posted on this thread). This is again a full blown .21 race engine featuring all of the trick "race features" including AAC construction, tear drops of the ports, chamfering of the sleeve bottom, additional machine work in the case, turbo head button, lightened cooling head and fluted+ lightened + epoxy stuffed with tungsten counter weights. On it's first outing in competition at the 2007 ROAR 1/8th On-road Nationals this engine was used by Kyosho's Thello Jurden to take 4th and Serpents Steve Perez to take 12th.

No... they are made by Star Motors who makes engines that they sell under the Sirio brand as well as for us, RB and SIIM ;-P

No, Star Motors makes Sirio, the same way they make some RB and Werks. Novarossi also makes engines for other brands (RB). The difference is that while Novarossi makes their own line of engines that they market, Star Motors doesn't. Sirio is a brand, not a manufacturer.

I'm looking to change from RB, and try the new Werks engine. I've never owned an AAC engine. Most important, I race with the RAMS club. Will you guys have anyone there for some trackside tuning help? Are local hobby shops carrying this line, or do I need to order direct?
