Picco EVO 3 series

I read in other threads that the evo3 series is becoming available and IDM engines are being imported into the US. Please post info, tips, or availability here. Where in the US can I get an Evo3 buggy motor(if there is one)?

The only Picco that is Evo 3 is the Picco P1R Evo 3 .12 & .15

the .12 is what Ofna Rebadged as the JLR Red Dot.

Then what is a Mega DSII .12? The crank is different from the other motors. Is that Serpents design?

Hi Marcos,
the DSII is Evo 2 and the DSII+ is Evo 3.

The Serpent crank is the same, it"s just black in some areas. Timing wise there is no difference.

Hey Thanks Stefan. I'm strictly Picco now. After running a DSII .21 and a Red dot I'm very impressed and the price is just right for me. I can afford to race again.:D

There is no EVO3 .21 engine yet from IDM. The EVO3 is in the .12 engine line only and the JL reddot is a older case style. Not to say that they will not switch over but now the case is older style. IDM is available as we are the exclusive importer for the engine line now in the states and we do have in stock the .21 buggy engines now. If you need help finding a dealer or anything else please feel free to PM me or goto our website for more info at www.teamxspower.com. Take care.

What are the differences in the old and new case style?

The EVO 2 case and the EVO 3 case are exactly the same, there is no difference at all, it is just that he doesn't have a clue on what he is talking about, the big difference on the external feature of the JL 1st version and the JL3 EVO 3 is the cooling head, now on the internal is the modified crank and the modified backplate which is a very effective way to make the engine way more powerfull.

www.teampursuitracing.com have Picco P9R EVO3 in stock you can order it online

DogboneS 09-25-2008 11:45 PM

I ordered a P7R Evo3 today and am looking for the 2047 pipe listed on the Team Picco site. Any major online stores carry this pipe set in the US. I think the Trinity Drake pipe was the same, but that appears to be disco'd. What about a JP4, has anyone had good results with the JP4?
