Default Novarossi 12-3SCT or Ninja MR-12

Hi Guys,

What would you prefer:

Novarossi 12-3SCT with 2630 pipe/5 fin manifold

or

Ninja MR12-T01T - Mario Rossi with pipe combo

To be used on a large 1/8 track in an MTX-4 so top end is important.

I had my mind set on the Novarossi, but after searching these forums, it seems they are not worth the money and very standard in performance.

On the other hand, the Ninja's reliability worries me and from what I have read the feedback is very contrast (people either love them or hate them)

i have seen both motor performs well, and i have also seen them having problems... but both r not far from each other performance wise. but all this depends on a lot of things such as tuning issues, car setups, tyres, clutch selections and settings.etc.....

just my 2 cents.

Sorry, should of been a little clearer

The Ninja is the tuned version (Ninja MR12-T01T - Mario Rossi) version if that makes much difference.

Definetely Nova... I had both of them...( Standard Ninja and standard Nova plus 12-3SC...)

They go fast both but for durability - > NOVAROSSI...

I regret a lot that i sold my Novas and turned to Ninja..

Its a mistake that wont hapend again

Regards

I have a Murnan Ninja .12 that I've had issues with tuning and durability. A friend had 2 Ninja .21's break on the same day. Both of us are not newbs. I'm currently waiting for my Plus 12. I won't be trying the "newest latest greatest" again. Stick with the proven winner. I learned my lesson.

Novarossi overrated man I have seen you post some ridiculous stuff but this takes the cake. The best thing about a ninja is the box period

i stand by what i say
the cost of a jp,max and others dosent cut it
at the cost of the more $ motors i want them to perform much better but they dont
so i run ninja a sirio there cheaper
damm id get a red dot before getting another novarossi or base motor.

ya the box is cool too.

changed conrod once.
any motor will work good if you just take care of them and dont over heat and dont take them apart all the time to clean them.
