Is this a newer model of Rb or is it the same as the last V12 series? How does it comp[are to Nova 12 3sct?

The newer model is based on Nova engines, where the older one was based on Sirio. I have one of the newer ones. Still breaking it in but its showing some serious power already.

The V12 is a nova based series. The Matrix was serio based & the R3 is nova based.

How is the R3 compared to the V12 series? What has been the most significant improvement so far aside from lower CG?

The rbr3 is a newer series then the v12. The rbr3 has a longer stroke than the v12 series did.

It is comparable in power to the +12-3sct.

The R3 has more power, and reliability than the older v12 series.

Tuned pipe

I bought an R3 last year and love it. I also bought a T9RC with a 2604 pipe as a package deal. I ran the pipe on both engines and was happy. Unfortanately, the pipe was destroyed in a crash.
Is their a better pipe/ manifold combo out there? I'm thinking a med header with a 2668 pipe. Anybody else with ideas? tnx.

Help

What? No opinions from the RC Tech guys/gals? What about the 2660 with the KEL850 treatment?

The 2660 works pretty well with the RB engines. The RB 2658 has more peak power than the Nova pipe. The new RB2668 is supposed to give more bottom end power. I will try one soon.

Thanks! If it ever stops raining, I'll try the 2660. It was recommended by a couple of other guys.
