Default Low Profile or Ceramic Head for CRF?

Does anyone know of any manufacturer that make a low profile or ceramic head to fit the CRF engine? I have a Murnan modded CRF in my MTX4 but the head seems to dwarf the car compared to other engines which can't help the C of G.

Cheers

just ran my CRF with a new collet instaleld with jb weld.

i've found the engine definately needs to be geared down from the pinions. i went down 1 tooth for each pinion from the normally used pinions at my track.

gear it down (from the pinions) and loosen the two speed ( went out 1.5 turns from my max MF tuned 2 speed settings). this engine definately needs to rev alot.

the top speed was very impressive, even with the lowered gears, (which seems to be the case with most engines now-adays maybe except for the JL red dot). The driving style on the throttle seemed to require a more aggressive approach also, but maybe this was just my impression.

overall, in my opinion only, the engine requires a closer attention paid to tuning it (read possibly harder to tune...i found it tricky anyway), and requires the user to reduce gearing as well. My engine when it entered the pits idled fairly high but the tune was consistent throughout the race final (1/2hr)

All I have to say is Fast fast faSt! I just witnessed Marc Cruz put down some of the fastest lap times at Crystal Park's Toys 4 Tots-if he hadn't of ran into trouble, his 4th place could've been 1st in the A main

This motor does take a bit more time to correctly tune, but once you get it, look out

What is the best plug to use with 16% nitro in warm temps? I've been using the CRF#6 but starting to think the #7 might run more consistantly, does anyone have any feedback?

get TKO Bearings. Ive used Bocas and their tolerances are way to tight. once you get your crank in the case, the rear bearing will not ever come off the crank

Hello,

what kind of experiences you had by using the update CRF81357 Under Head (Tapered) and CRF81359 CNC Back Plate (with O-Ring) ??

does it make sense to upgrade my motor ?

From what I've heard the backplate doesn't do much but the button head makes a big difference, more power everywhere in the rev range is the word

I've just installed TKO ceramics, I'll be running them this weekend so I'll post how they go
