your not quite right, it's has indeed an 35+ sleeve etc. but the crankcase is similair to an 321 engine.
only it's black instead of the normal alloy colour

Default JP Black 35+

I am the user of these 2 brands of engines. Since there is a choice I will prefer the Collari becuase it seems the collaris are more balanced with fuel economy in consideration. JP is also fast but I just can't get run time right, may be it is just my problem. Since there are so many tuned engines + engine tuners out it's hard to choose, I know the work of JP is great but I guess I need some good fast engines since I go thru 2-3 of them one season anyway

Default Collari 35 Plus 21

Well, this is my 16th season on 1/8 scale and i still love the class. When the engine goes or having less power I will usually start on a new one rather than dropping a new piston/sleeve set becuase these engines are matched on casing against sleeve. You may get it right but lots of times the tolerances will change the characterisitcs of the engine and will not perform as good as the original sleeve set. Treat it well and it will last as my pervious 35 plus 21 tuned serves me real well.
