Default ns12p "practice motor" that comes with the 353

Anyone have any first hand experience with it? Mine is just sitting in the pastic wrap, I'm wondering if I should put it in a car and actually use it to practice with. If its really slow I dont know if I should bother with it though.

So does anyone know, is it a decent motor, or is it crap?

Hi Randay i think you will very surprised with this engine.I ran mine today at a club meeting which is at the brendale track where they ran the tourer worlds last year and it surprised mysalf as well as the rest of the drivers who nearly all run murnan engines,i did'nt win i came 4th in the A main.i would'nt say that it is a great competition engine but will be perfect for a clubby, whatever plug is in the engine which is a 5 keep using them.Give it a go mate

It's decent, about as good as the older novarossi's amazingly enough. Doesn't seem to be any faster or slower than the JL I broke in a couple of weeks ago but I don't have them side by side to compare with.

In fact, I haven't even mounted the 353 yet because this is plenty for club racing.

I have one also. It's alright. It's not a slug and it will get your car around the track with no problems. Don't try to race anyone with their race motor vs. your NS12! It's just a old NS12S3 that they put a aluminum head. It was a great motor! I raced one three years ago. I installed mine in my Jammin .5 1/12scale truggy. It's a good beater motor.
