I'm going to have to wait till after the weekend before I have the time to get it in the car and begin the heat cycles. I can feel a very large smile about to happen.
Letting it sit for several days will not negatively effect the run-in procedure?

Nope! It needs heat or moisture to change it's molecular structure. Otherwise it will remain as is till the next run.

OK. Started the heat cycle run-in method. Ran into a problem when I went to take it to the track, throttle servo D.O.A. Do the engine has 6 rich tanks through it with temps between 175 and 190. When the new servo gets here will complete the run-in process.

Well so far so good. 1/4 way through the first part of the rolling break in (3 tanks : 6 total) and all is well. Had to wrap the head in a rag to get the temps up to the 200 deg range and only 2 flame outs so far. This looks to be one of the easier break ins I've done.

WOW! 4 tanks to go. Still 4 stroking & drooling but it's right on the edge of starting to come alive. Im using 26mm rubber tires for the break in & it's very close to spinning them with a 1/2 throttle pulse.

Ok just an quick update. I've just finished my 2nd race weekend with the Murnan R3 / Nova 2630 pipe combo. This motor has some very serious punch. I'm still running fat as I believe the secret to a long lasting motor is a long slow break in. This week the motor was faster than last week and I used the same basic tune it came with till the main then made it 1/8 turn richer on the bottom & 1/8 leaner on the top. The engine is still pouring out smoke like crazy & drooling plenty of oil out the exhaust. It was still strong enough to get me a 3rd place (I chased set up all day & felt the final set up was where I should have started my day). All in all I am very satisfied with this engine so far.

Hey guys. I'm looking for some replacement o-rings for my R3. I noticed the top needle on my R3 has 2 o-rings where as the exploded diagram seems to show a needle with only 1 o-ring. Are the part numbers in the exploded view correct?

Has anyone been able to find the R3 o-ring maintenance kit?
