Uriah,

I think he's talking about QS (quarter scale) engines, you know, the ones the use in weed eaters...

Soembody once told me that when R/C racers are getting old and loose their reflexes, they go QS racing.
What do you think, Tracy?

Yea ,your probably right!!!
I'm not going to run touring anymore ,but I will do the 235.
I've got a touring body on it which looks awesome.
But if nobody in intrested I'll run the old wedge thing.
Later.

Chuck, sorry for working in between posts here

I ran 4-5 tanks through mine a low to medium speed at ~ 200* F and then went on to the track and slightly leaned it out over the next two tanks.
After that I went for it.

Here come sthe funny part:

Since I was a bit in a hurry when I put the engine in the car, I didn't check if the carb was opening all the way.
After practicing all morning (and being pretty happy with the engines performance) I found out just before the first heat, that the carb only opened 50%.

I adjusted my radio and went out for the qualifier----> Holy sh.t!

That's when the sucker really came alive

have you ever seen or modded one these motors? i picked up a new one in an ebay auction for a KX-2 Avance - i know it's not the best motor but do you think u can mod it?
i dont know which version of this engine you have

but the one i had (8 port, black case, purple head), it was already tuned (although not a lot) in Japan

just to give u some more insight

Hi grinder,
in your opinion, which motor is the most value for money to be mod. by you while as fast as those Rody Tuned's.
I am looking at 5 ports motors.

The modified Sirio is the fastest motor for the money, and faster than more expensive motors. Very similar performance to the Rody, maybe better. Though the 3 ports are hard to find right now.

Finally ran my Murnan modded Nova Mega today. It is VERY fast! I only broke it in and ran a couple minets of fast practice laps so far but it was the fastest motor on the track today. I cant wait to race it next weekend.

Default Hey Grinder !

Can I take the carb off my (great running, great idling) MR 12 and put it on my Murnan modded Nova Mega SX12?

I can't get anyone at the track to help me get it to idle well, or as well as the MR....
