Hi Uriah, thanks for modding my .12 Keep-On. Its back in the car and is fantastic!

I will be attending the 200mm worlds in November and will be taking 3 new Virtus .12 engines with me (yet to buy...). I'd like to know how your mods improve the virtus .12 particularly understanding what it does to fuel consumption and where the power band is mostly changed.

I understand the the virtus is more powerful than the keep on in stock form however would it be fair to compare a Murnan Modified Keep on with a stock virtus? Obviously a modded virtus will be quicker but I'd just like to ascertain where in the powerband it is improved over stock.... Thanks again for some awesome motors!

My modified Virtus .12 has power improvement from bottom to top. The most noticeable is the increase in top end. Fuel consumption is still good enough to pit at 5 minutes using 16% nitro.

My modified keepon is more powerful than the stock Virtus.

I recently picked up 2 of yours older engines used. I went threw both engines. One is a 2008 M353R and other is the M RB R3 engine. I went threw both of them and inspected them and measured everything and the RB is a little more worn in the pinch than the 353. I have run the 353 in the first race and its nice. Im wondering which engine should i use. Which one is better. Also for the m353r how open is the lsn suppsto be when tuned properly. mine is open only about 3/4 of a turn and its not running lean. Im also running the nova 2660 pipe on it.

Both are great engines.

There is no set needle setting for an engine. Only base settings, which are usually very rich. On the M353R, 3/4 turn out is ok, if it's not lean.

Each driver will likely need different needle settings due to driving style. Someone who is smooth on the throttle can run a leaner low end than someone who pulls the throttle quickly.

I pull the throttle quickly, and can overheat someone's engine who drives smoothly in no time.

Just picked up an ISON .21. How much would I benefit from a port? Mainly a basher/occasional track car.

yea the engine is maybe just on the rich side with the lsn. i don't want to damage the engine. Oh i looked it up the RB i have is a T9 01709-000640Murnan engine. Not the M3 What you think about that engine. Im thinking about letting a friend put that in his nt1 pro.

Also did you design the mod around the intake reducers that came with the engine?

Yea i kinda blip the throttle and then hammer it also. Im deff happy with the M353R and the power it has. I can tell its got more punch than my XZ engine.

Well let's just say it would take that ISON to a whole new level. Uriah does a flat out mean Novarossi ISON GT. The Murnan Modified ISON chewed up and spit out my Flash Rally PT in LA during the Airtronics GP. I was instantly hooked, I started emailing him from the track in fact. They are that impressive.

Since then I now have 3 Murnan Modified Motors and all bring the biggest smile to my face. If you are considering a mod you are in for one heck of a surprise.

Shoot him an email and you guys can work out the details

Thanks. I'll be in touch around September for a couple of your modded virtus motors! If that keep on is anything to go by can't wait to try a mm virtus

I just received my first Murnan Modified engine and have to say he is a great guy to deal with and couldn't be happier with the way this engine performs. If you are thinking about a Modified engine he is the Man

Have been out of the RC game for some time and recently came back to it (after a 14 year break actually) as my sons are now old enough to play (actlually are faster than me within 4 months of starting!).

Just stumbled upon this thread and am very intrigued. Have been running a Reds M7WC and an RB CXR but have decided to up the ante recently and just purchased a Virtus Collari (going to be run in this coming week). Has anyone done a back to back with a Collari? May well pick up a Murnan M7WC and a Murnan Virtus but hoping to hear of a back to back comparison first if possible. Much thanks in advance.

Earlier this year I picked up a modified .12 Flash motor from Uriah. I finally got a chance to run it this season and it was awesome. Uriah went above and beyond in answering my questions and offering up tuning tips leading up to race day. He even called me on my phone to answer all of my questions. I know there are tons of resellers with good deals out there but it's hard to beat the level of service and support Uriah offers to his regular Joe customers like myself.

Thanks Uriah!!
