The best bang for the $ is the Picco P9R, and the 35+21. The Picco is cheaper, but it will not last like the Novarossi. The Novarossi is also easier to tune when near the performance limit.
How does the bang for the buck P9R compare power wise to the 35+21. Are Are the engines very close in tq/rpm? I understand the Picco won't last nearly as long, but I only have a 1 ounce tank in my Pro-mod and am looking for something much stronger if theres is for next season after running the Picco. Can you post he numbers for your modded versions for comparison.

Also, is your standard mod $150 and drag spec $200.

The P9R will hang with the Novarossi on a small track. The Novarossi will have more top speed than the Picco. For 132 ft. the Picco will be good. What numbers do you want to see?

The standard modification is $150, and the drag modification is $250. The drag mod includes very high quality ceramic bearings, and extra work.

Do you list the high quality ceramic bearing for purchase?

No problems yet. If the engine gives you any trouble let me know.

The Picco has been good so far, but your MM drag mod 35+21 may give me a slight edge if it has the the power to justify the price difference.

I found this info from one of your earlier posts reading through the thread. If you have the same info on the P9R, that would be great to help me see the power under the curve. There was a graph of the actual pull, but I didn't copy. Thanks

Not sure where you got those #'s. Here are some dyno sheets of the 35+21vsMod, and FlashvsMod that I did recently.

@Uriah,

how would you compare a Nova S21WCS09 against a 35+21? The little Nova carries an attractive price tag

2nd question: Would you personally rather pick a MM Cordoba or a MM 35+21? The price is the same and after your mods power output should be the same as well. Should I choose just by cooling head color or are their any other important differences?

Many thanks and best regards,

Stefan

From one of your older posts.. I went back many pages and the mod was done in 08'. I see you have the engines locked in a little better now.

Any chance of getting the Picco P9R numbers to compare to the Nova Flash/35+21? Decisions.....decisions.....

Thanks again.

Interesting that while the Flash has a bit more peak power, it looks like the 35+21 has a LOT more area under the curve. Especially under 35k.

The way to tell is to look at the timing in the crankshaft. There will be modification to the crankshaft timing intake window on the modified version. The sleeve is also not modified on the tuned, only on the modified version. Look for the teardrop cuts on the transfer ports on the modified version. The tuned has a stock looking sleeve.
