I would have to say the MMRBR3. It is very fast, good on fuel consumption, and durable. Good combo.

Second,

The Copper Battery Tray weight for the NT1, what performace gains/impacts does this have on the car?

Thirdly,

What is your ranking for best .12 motors on the market today for Short & Long Tracks. Money no option and or best bang for the buck.

Thanks for all your input and looks like I know where I am buying my motors from, from now on!
The brass battery tray allows you to lighten your car with things like Ti Pivot balls, light weight drivetrain, etc... and lower your CG while making the required 1725 grams for competition.

I noticed on my RRR that the car was easier to drive after I made these changes. Laptimes were faster too.

I would say for a large track the MMRBR3 is tough to beat. It has good bottom end, and seems to have a 3rd gear down the backstretch. It is also good on fuel consumption.
The MM Red Dot, and the MM+12 are also a great short track engines. They both have good bottom end. With the right pipe they are good for big tracks too. The same goes for the R3, with a pipe like the RB2611 the engine has gobs of torque. I usually use the RB 2604 for the larger tracks. Sometime the Novarossi 2630.

Sigh.... I have none of the above motors mentioned. But I like what i got and looks like I am getting pretty good life on them. Mega DS2 and Mega MF, both still gotta a lot of pinch left but got get a new con rod before the season starts up again, now a Max XL3 engine with 2602 pipe has just been added for this year. that motor pipe combo good for larger or smaller tracks?

Have to admit, couple of the guys had the red dot going last year and man they were fast lotsa tourqe!! But didnt seem to last too long, but for the money who cares!

I am a horrible tuner though which doesnt make life any easier, grinder any chance you wanna re-locate to Ontario for this summe niro season..LOL!!

Default RBR3

I need to get a replacement rod for the RBR3 as a spare. Is this rod also the same as the Novarossi 07601 rod? The reason I ask is that the RB rod is more expensive, but looks to be the same rod as the 07601.

Hi. The rod is very similar to the Novarossi 07601. The two rods are interchangeable. The 07602 is only for the 353.

Thanks, Uriah
