Racing engines in the $250 range?

Hey guys,

Within two months (hopefully) I'll have a G4S and will be racing, but I'm having trouble deciding which .12 engine to get. I've been out of R/C for a little bit, but when I was in it, Picco and Rossi were the top names. Are they still and do they have anything within this range? I'm not new to nitro, so inexperience won't be a problem. Any help or suggestion would be appreciated, thanks!

Get the JLR and the skyline VR12 Plus from kamikaze. You can have a good user friendly motor and pipe for that $250 range. This would be the easiest and probably the most powerful for you.

G4S - Good choice ;)

If you click the .12 engines link in my signature and go to the links section, it has links to all the engine manufacturers. There are quite a number of engines you can buy in the $250 price range once you start shopping around at the retail Web sites.

The JLR .12 Red Dot is a Picco based engine being offered by OFNA.

Also the O.S. TZ .12 will fit in to this price range.

I'd definately look at the JLR Red Dot. It's only about $180 for the engine and you can get a good pipe online (like the SKyline which was suggested before) for around $50-$60.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. Does the Red-Dot come with a break in guide?
