Are there any high quality/strong pipes that work well in 10th scale onroad? I have the sirio and skyline pipes but they dent easily.

In 8th scale offroad we have some great pipes that work on a wide range of motors, check this one out. The stinger is reinforced and the pipe is hard coated, these things last forever, cost $65 for the pipe/header and they're the perfect pipe for 3-4 engines.

RD Logics Turbo III pipe with Reinforced Stinger might hold up better looks similar to that ofna.

All pipes get a ding no matter what it's part of racing
Since you are a noob look into the vantage pipe it will hold out longer than the std one that is used to race

The rd logic turbo in my experience is pretty bad for bending/dings. The skyline pipe is harder. Even though the stinger might not bend in , the area surrounding it will regardless as well as the pipe itself.

Bummer , but yeah. The one pipe that has survived my driving is the skyline vr12plus im not sure which skyline you have but its pretty strong if you ask me. Another thing to look at is how your pipe sits on the car and what kinda exhaust bracket its hooked to. The best bet is a springy or spring loaded bracket that can give some. Stiff brackets hold the pipe and increase damage it takes.

You can also setup some sort of blockage system with perhaps some cf or ive heard of wire like something similiar to the exhaust hanger that goes out and gives added protection by stopping impacts from even hitting the pipe in accidents.

I would have to say I would use what the enging manufactor recamends in the way of pipe to get max paformance. But from the pipes i have seen i would say Milkie pipes are some of the strongest pipes world wide.

Yeah i asked this too and nobody I asked had any fancy answers on reinforcing the stinger or what pipes won't bend. They suggested I just avoid hitting the walls. :lol: Easier said than done sometimes.

So then it comes down to getting thr right pipe that provides the proper power and runtime for your engine. Overall I'd say the Skyline VR12+ is the best one right now. The Novarossi pipes also provide smooth power response, but from everything I've seen they have a shorter runtime on most engines.

Try Kneedit around the stinger it at least stops it getting knocked off may not look that great but hey it's funtional and simple.

I'm guessing you have the first generation Skyline VR12 pipe. Give the Skyline VR12 PLUS a try. Performance is very good and it's very durable. You will not be disappointed ;).

I have seen some guys who put JB Weld around the stinger. This seems to help. But, even the JB Weld does not make it indestructable.

My VR12PLUS pipe has been raced for about 4 gallons of fuel already and I am yet to manage to dent it :eek: :D.
I've replaced the header once already though in that period. Where else can you find a pipe where you will bend the header first before you even damage the pipe itself :D.

I'm having trouble picking a pipe and I decided I'd use this thread rather than start my own.

I'm running a JP Racing Modded Mugen x12 engine and have to replace my tuned pipe which got a nasty dent in that won't come out. I'm deciding between the Skyline VR12+ or the Novarossi EFRA_2630 pipe. I'm not sure which is the better of the two. Anyone have other suggestions I'm open for that as well. Thanks.

most of the guys over here are using the new 2630 pipe on nova motors just got the 2630 myself to try it, havent used the vr12+ so i cant comment on it, but there are alot of good reports about that pipe... i guess with either you really cant go wrong, just depends on what your looking for from your engine to what pipe you go for.
