Default .12 tested at Fort Myers

Ok ran the .12 at Fort Myers last weekend at Sour Grapes with good results. First, the motors are really strong, bottom. mid and top. Tune was easy and on point with temps in the 250-270 range with plenty of smoke. Used IDM 2617 and IDM 2651 and both are great. The 2651 adds power everywhere but less milage. I actually like the 2617 better it just feels smoother out of the corners. The 2651 felt more like on off switch but it makes a ton of power. Just my observation from this race. Qualified 9 but I only finished one qual due to car issues and trying to run 2 classes is tough

Default IDM makes podium

I managed to make the podium at Fort Myers last weekend for the Sour Grapes race. I qualified 8th in the A main.I got a good start and was up to 5th going into the first corner. I got hit by at least 2 cars in the first corner and my body got jacked up and lost 2 body clips. I got back out of the pits and just ran a consist race and worked my way up to third where I finished. My engine ran great all weekend but my 966 still needs a little work but the total package was good enough to take the podium! Thanks Serpent America for the setup support, Team XSPOWER for the horsepower, and Contact Tires for the grip! Hope I can keep this trend going thru out the rest of the year!

Hi Guys, I need some help here...

I just ordered a Picco P7-R .21 EVO 3/4 Connecting Rod - 1381 online and was wondering if it would fit my IDM Evo3 motor.

Need a reply urgently. Thank you.

Does anybody know who is the italian dealer or an online shop that has IDM engines and parts?

I have a wonderful .12 IDM Evo4 but even here in Italy I can't find many distributors (funny thing...). It is quite strange because I deem this a very competitive engine, not more not less than the most popular ones such as Max Power, Novarossi or Sirio, and it is cheaper.
In a club race I reached the 104 Km/h of top speed!!

Ciao Rubio,

what is the difference between IDM and Picco engines, other than the black cooling head?

Exactly!!

Get the new Picco Torque 12.

Last time I checked, my IDM .21 had more work done to the crankshaft....

Did it go faster than the same kind of Picco's?

As far as I know crankshaft and sleeve ports slightly improved (don't ask me exactly what ), but actually I never had the occasion to directly compare same Picco and IDM engines in terms of performances.

Definitely I love performances and easy tuning of my IDM, maybe with mother Picco I would have the same but I can't know (I just use to have the old Picco Evo 2, my first engine)

Difficult to tell, they are very similar, only the IDM has extra work done to the teardrop.

But that was not the question, I only said that there is a difference.

The piston/sleeve fit is also much better as with all the rest of the engines internals.
