They are the same motors. The IDMs may have different timing. Can't go wrong with either one.

Power Master 16% T7 plug. I will be running the 2651 at Fort Myers this weekend for the first time. How is that pipe?

I am running Byrons 20% with the T7 Plug. I have only runt he 2651 pipe so I don't have anything to compare it to. But It has plenty of bottom, Mid. Top end it hangs with everything else. The engine all around is more aggressive than the RB's I used to run. I am still trying to get used to it. The motor is great on fuel.

Hi Marcos,
have you run the 2015 and 2033 back to back by any chance?
If so, how do they compare?
Someone mentioned in the Picco thread that the 2052 would give a lot of top end. We tested that recently and it wasn't all that great. The fuel mileage went down the drain though

I am looking for a pipe, that gives the engine a bit more top end, since we are going to run the Euros at the end of May and that's a pretty long straight.

Regarding the sedan pipes, I have some experience with this. I stopped running the IDM engines exclusively a few months ago but have a good amount of experience with the EVO3 and 4 engines as well as the 2607, 2617 and 2651 pipes.

The 2607 made a ridiculous amount of bottom end. The rest of the range was good, but the bottom end was stupid. It made the engine difficult to drive. It got good fuel mileage.

The 2617 has a much smoother powerband than the 2607.

The 2651 also has a good powerband, but the only thing I don't like about this pipe is my engine temps went up about 25-30 degrees. When using this pipe if I ever tried to tune my engine to run the same temps as the previous pipes, it would barely run. Not sure why but I always ran my engines on the hotter side using the 2651. This pipe also gets the worst fuel mileage of the 3 but I still made runtime with little to no issues.

I normally ran Losi Nitrotane 20% fuel with a Sirio #6 plug.

I would use the 2617 or the 2651, but I don't think they make the 2617 anymore. Brother Jerry may still have some but you would have to call or email Xspower to find out.

Yeah the engine has a really aggressive power band, it just pulls hard everywhere. I even loosened my clutch from what I ran on my RBs and it stills has more bottom end.

I'll be running both back to back this weekend at Fort Myers. I'll let you know something after. But right now the 2015 feels pretty good and mileage is good.

I know from Salven that the 2033 but with Novarossi medium header keeps it revving to the moon, he drove 118kmh on the MACH track with that combination, we were both laughing about it. I don't know if the IDM likes that combination too, but it's worth a try.
I like the 2015 with medium header best, indeed 2052 give a lot more power, but not top speed, it gives more bottom is my own experience, but indeed more fuel consumption...

If you are looking for more top end, add a head shim.

Are we talking about the torque or the EVO4. From what I was told is that the torque was configured to give more torque and that could make differences with the EVO4 regarding the working with different exhaust pipes.

according to Picco's own website, the Torque only has a different crankcase and then only made lighter, nothing more.
So basically the Evo4 and Torque are the same on the inside....

Hi guys,

A quick one does the IDM Evo 3 .12 come out in a 3 port and a 5 port, or is it a 3 port only?

Thank you
Warren

Straight to the point........................run the 2033!!! The Nova 2052 works pretty good but the engine was more responsive thru the infield and pulls way harder on the top end with the 2033. Ran back to back and I was .4 faster per lap with the 2033.
