2 ways to do this. You can heat the sleeve and sometimes you can get it to loosen up before the combustion chamber can expand or you can take a round piece of wood so as not to damage the combustion chamber shape or the metal remove the glow plug and hold the sleeve in your hand firmly do not put the sleeve into a vise where it will most certainly be damaged. A few small taps should be enough to free it. The piece of wood should be round and will go into the end of the sleeve and use it drive it out. You then can use some very fine sand paper wet/dry at least 1000 grit or higher and remove very little material on the side of the chamber so as it goes into the sleeve with a snug not tight fit. Do not make it so it is loose. You want a good seal all around the sides and bottom of the chamber.

hey guys,

can you give me an idea about the characteristic of the new 2651 pipe set?

Is it a rpm pipe or rather a torque pipe?

Thx.

Default IDM evo3 spec2

hi guys,
how to tell the .12 IDM evo3 is spec2 from spec1?

the only difference is only the carb material used?

I never saw a spec 2 carb with the .12 engine.

The Spec 2 .21 has a slightly different piston/sleeve set the location of the wrist pin is different then the original case for the EVO3 also the new runs have a new carb completely this was a running change in the line. Now as the carb changed on the .21 they have also changed on the .12 as well. They have a steel slide as well as the other changes mentioned in the above post with the plastics and such. There is not a Spec2 EVO3 .12 though. At least that I have seen here in the states.

Yes and the EVO4 .12 as well. The latest version also has a new connection ball-joint with a scale for fine-tuning. Also the material of the LS needle has been improved.

And now to the Worlds at Lostallo Swiss!

No, just a driver. I believe that winners circle carries the IDM stuff.

hi guys, need some advices/comments:

my .12 evo3 power will only come on at about 270-280F, seems a bit on the high side?
if i rich the HSN to bring the temp down to 250-260F, there's simply no power at all...

air temp here is about 80F (humidity about 70%) and i'm running 25% nitro with total head shims of 0.5mm using idm #6 plug.

by the way, pipe 2651 is similar (or closer) to 2617 or 2607? any reviews using 2651 with evo3?

Richen the LSN you are way to lean on the bottom. Not the top. The engine will tune a bit backwards from a Nova when you build heat up quick it is most of the time due to the LSN not the HSN. Hope that helps out. Also the pipes are really the best of the both of them better top like with the 2617 and good lower power with the 2607

is it due to the design of the carb or picco engines just need a richer LSN (not due to the carb design)?

i've tried richen the LSN slightly but it'll bog. the bog will only be present if i'm off the throttle and it's sitting for about 2s. however if i'm off the throttle and i immediately give it gas agin, it'll be fine...
