Arrow NEW RC CAR DIFFICULT TO START

Hi please can some help with info on how to start this car.I got it started the first time but on high revs.As I close the throttle it switches off.I thought it's not getting enough fuel but then flooded the carb and engine.now it's even harder to pull start.

Try taking the glow plug out and turning it upside down while turning the engine over a few times. It might be flooded.

After checking for flooding be sure to return all needle settings back to the factory recommendations for break-in.

Thanks 4 the tip. Where will I find the factory settings for the engine.I do have all the manuals but there is no settings in there.I have messed up all the settings and now finding it hard to start.I tried starting it again and this time it is much better but it does not last for long time. It dies off after a few seconds.

Thanks Shaun

Increase the idle speed a bit.
Needle settings would be something like:

main needle three turns out from closed
low speed needle 1.5 turns out from flush
...
...

Something like that but you have to check yours how it is!

Thanks for that.I don't think the carb has a low end mixture setting.
It has just an idle screw and top end main mixture needle.

Try this.

If u have no hair dryer to heat the head abit b4 starting up. Take the glow plug out and try starting it without the glow plug> that will heat the sleeve a little and u can then insert the glow plug and try to fire it up.

Go rich anti clockwise direction till u can see oil spurting out the pipe, then , up the idle for 2 tanks or 3 b4 leaning in

Hope this helps. also standby extra glow plugs and don't forget to charge the glowplug starter :0.

If it does itll be on the throttle arm ,,,,under the linkage!!!

If you look at the engine manufacturers website they may have the recommended settings for it. If the idle seems to go really high before it dies your settings are too lean(You need to go counter-clockwise). If the idle goes low and seems to be drowning itself out you might be too rich(You need to go clockwise). You may also want to check the plug by hooking it up to the glo starter with it out of the engine. It should glow bright red. You should see quite a bit of smoke coming out of the pipe when you first accelerate. You can lean it out a bit after a few tanks.
