Done with pullstart- Converting to non-ps?
So today marked the day in which I am DONE with pullstarts. I have now purchased a starter box and would like to put a backplate on the engine(an O.S. .12 CV-RX) since I wont need the starter anymore. I know I will need the backplate itself, but will I need to modify or replace the crankshaft as well? I know the PS version of the crankshaft has the small nub for the starter assembly, but will this nib prevent be from installing a backplate cover?
Any help is appreciated, thanks. |
You will need to cut the nub off of the crank to convert it or you could buy a new crank. You could also just leave the pull start on and just use the starter box to start it.
