Default Modded crank Q?

What sort of material is used to fill the crankshaft? I'm talking about the epoxy ramp just below the main window. It's usually orange, but I've seen white, black and gray ones too. I assume that it must be quite fuel, temperature and heat resistant, yes? Just what is that stuff and where can I get it?
