I'm sorry but I find it hard to believe you are rookie. That is too good a job for a rookie. Maybe your definition is a little skewed.

Otherwise, great job! It looks beautiful. What crank is the bottom one? Did you polish the crankpin if they are the same crank?

This isn't my first engine, but I have only been modding since August 06, I think i have played with about 12 engines in total...... i guess I should have said that Compared to some of the fellows on this site I am a rookie ...

thank you for the compliments...

the crank on the bottom is a stock version of the crank I modded, except the crank I did was not black coated from factory...But other then the coating they are identical

I noticed that the rod journal is hollwed on the modded crank, is this a part of your balencing process?

the crank has the crank pin hollowed for a pullstart assembly... it comes from factory like that... though this motor will be used as a bumpstart engine in a Truggy..

Oh I also had the opportunity to run the STS 30 in the pictures... I bought a new MBX5T and slapped the modded 30 in it... It was pretty wild to say the least, it ran like a champ and seemed to really over power the Mugens Chassis......... For the dollar I am really liking these STS mills, this new STS 30 is insanely powerful with very good RPM..
