Default IDM engines and picco engines

hiya everyone,

i've recently purchased a IDM/picco evo2 engine for 1/8th on road and my LHS has also brought in the .12 outlaw ( its outlaw racing here in singapore).

has anyone else used them?

other users here are reporting incredible torque and linear power throughout revs.

what are your opinions?

i stripped the engine out to have a look, the insides dunt look like a lot has been done, no epoxy insert, no tungsten inserts no lightening on the piston, not much liner polishing nor crankshaft coating.

ima haven't made any timing measurements yet. for the incredible power i've seen on the track, its really worth it. it only cost about USD 65 more then a regular picco evo2.

ima wondering if coating hte crank, ceramic bearings, and crank lightening and epoxy insert might make it even better...

People tend to forget that changes like: coating, balanced crankshaft, epoxy insert, etc. will double the price for an engine, but will only give about 5% more power.......
Most people also don't need this 5%......

Default nope...

the IDMs are basedon picco's latest evo2 parts.

they dunt seem compatible with the evo1 or regular p7r parts.

i believe the mega engine you talk about is based on the basic p7r.

anyhoo, Sam at hobbylink stocks mega parts and engines, BK at hobbycraft (along margeret drive) stocks IDM engines and parts.
