JL Racing .12

I am going over my engine and car getting it ready for the summer season.
I took the engine apart and it had 3 x .2 mm shims (.6mm total) Way too much for me as I run 20% nitro and the P6TH plug on a short track.
Question is: do I just take out one shim (for .4mm) or can i run it at .3 mm without damaging anything?
