From the first JL it has gotten more brute power, the crank and the backplate have been milled out and has made the engine better from the first gen. engine I have had it on my on-road car then put into my CRT.5 mini truggy and being that this two diffent application(one being a two speed car and the other a single speed truggy)the engine does what it needs to do, the acceleration is good enough to have the pick-up speed for short shoots and hair pin jumpers to doubles and has the RPM's to yank your car down the straight, the price can't be beat for the speed you get, you'll be happy.

What plug do you guys recommend for this engine? My LHS only have OS, O'donnel, Sirio and nova plugs. I saw at rcmushroom the picco hot and medium plugs. I m going to use it with Tornado 25% nitro.

I think the Sirio Turbo plug is the same taper. PM XSPower as he has IDM Picco glowplugs.

Sirio Turbo Plugs does not work with the JL's, it leaks and it does not seat flush in the combustion chamber. I have a lot of complaints from customers using different plugs other than PICCO plugs.

Trust me, it does. It has more top end for sure, and a little more grunt down low, and it still makes time. On my last race everyone kept telling me how fast my car was, and I kept catching everyone at the end of the straight. Now I just need to drive better.

the dyno shows what this motor is all about... XRC just dynoed the Novarossi 323 ? and of course the Picco stomps all over it....just like the current Gen of .21's, the Picco's are now class leading as far as torque,HP and powerband.......Anyways when you see the JLR dyno graph overlayed on top of the competition its no wonder your Picco is doing some damage..the JLR stomps every .12 avaialble today........

Before you start laughing at me. What pipe would you recommend for this engine on an NTC3. I know I am going to burn a few gears and not many run this car anymore, but help is appreciated.

AE FT P/N 1763
Ofna 38475
RdLogic RDL-61250

Ok commence laughing

Thanks

I recommend you run the Associated original Dual Chamber Factory Team pipe set.
p.s. with a lot of diff gears on hand.

Thanks Sam for the pip info,

Does the collet need to be sanded or shortened like post#1050 & #1051? It seems the end of the crank does not meet or come close to the end of the bearing on the clutch bell. Thoughts? Causes an alignment issue with the gears on the 2 speed.

Yes, you can either sand down the big end of the collet or buy the associated collet for the LRP engine.

Is it true that the AE FT pipe and the OFNA pipe (38475) for the LD3/NTC3 are the same.
