It's funny you ask that a couple of guys at moorebank onroad are using Os plug and they work for them

Myself i haven't tried them in a JLR.

Just use a good quality Foam filter soaked with air filter foam oil.

I have the same problem concerning the rod, and also seems to have a leaky carb. My motor never got over 230* at its hottest, and still has play in the con-rod/crank the first day out. What could be the cause ? ?

Read this http://www.rctech.net/forum/showpost...&postcount=525

And regarding the crank pin/con-rod it is normal to have a small amount of play, without that play it will almost be imposible to remove or install the piston/rod assembly into the crankshaft while it is inside the crankcase.

I have GC air filter and the instructions says to not wash and re-use the foam. I borrowed a novarossi 3sct instruction and there says to wash the air filter with a mix of petrol (I guess it means gasoline) + 10% of oil.. I wonder what way is correct?
And if I follow GC instruction after a period of time the foam will be without oil because of normal use.. I'm confused 2 ~ 3 hours it recommended to replace the ganz air filter

Sam some time ago you said that alcohol is the best product to wash the engine. Can I use it direct in the carb? I worry about the composite part and rubber parts (o-rings etc.) the seal of rear bearing too.. can these parts be washed with alcohol?

Thanks

Yes, but use Methyl alchohol or at least Denatured alchohol, regarding the Foam air filter, just replace them after 1 hour of run, they are so cheap now a days. but if you want to wash them you can use dish washing soap, just let it dry completely before applying foam filter oil.

RB plugs have the same taper as the Novarossi plugs.
Just remember that Picco plugs works best with Picco engine, Sirio plug have the same taper but it won't seat flush on the combustion chamber resulting into leaks, the heat range of the OS plug is different from the Picco plug which sometimes cause tuning issues.
