The appearance of the engine is very similar to the first generation JL's, except for the cooling head, it is colored Black (with nice graffix design on it) and it is shorter, the major difference is in the crankshaft, it is modified and the bore is a lot bigger, and it was tested in a recent race and it is way faster than the current JL's.[/QUOTE]

I can't even imagine a JL that is faster than the original! WOW!

chuckmando, what temp were you running in? Did you change much of the settings besides not leaning too much? I had trouble getting mine to run the last time I tried and the temps were in the low 50's. I am still very new at tuning nitros and wasn't sure what to do.

what is the item number for the jl3? look the same as in ofnas site!

It has the same part number as the old JLR is no longer availale.

Bummer, Where can i get the .40mm shims from as we only run 16% or are there seperate shims you can remove to bring it down to .40mm

Yes, just take off the 2 x .1mm shims or 1 x .2mm shim either one is okay.
the engine have 2 x .2mm shims and 2 x .1mm shims
